Terms & Conditions: COVID-19 Postponed Trips

Let’s reunite the world: Your investment in this trip is an investment in the students, teachers, workers and entrepreneurs that shape our host communities, as well as an investment in yourself and your ability to positively shape our world. Now more than ever, your investment in these communities truly matters. Local economies around the world have been hit hard by the sudden disappearance of tourism, but, together, we have the opportunity to help reignite tourism and reunite our world.

We’re offering our volunteers a lifetime travel credit valid for use towards any of our trips anywhere in the world. To reschedule your trip and receive your travel credit, simply register for a new trip in your Volunteer Profile and email us to transfer your payment to your new trip dates.

Terms & Conditions: COVID-19 Postponed Trips

• Receive a lifetime travel credit: Receive a travel credit equal to the amount you have already paid towards your trip. To receive this lifetime travel credit, all you need to do is register for a trip in your Volunteer Profile and then email us your new trip dates and location to transfer your payments. 
• Travel credit is nonrefundable, but good for life. Your existing travel credit can be applied to any future date and location of your choice!
• Free and unlimited trip changes: We are now waiving our transfer fees and giving you the flexibility to change your trip dates and/or location as many times as you need, free of charge, up until 70 days prior to your trip start date.
• Transfer to friends, family or GIVE’s nonprofit: You can now transfer your travel credits to friends and family who have not previously registered for a GIVE trip, or choose to donate the dollar amount of your travel credits to the GIVE Foundation’s COVID Relief Fundraiser.
• Stay locked into our current pricing: Prices for each trip have increased due to the expanded COVID-19 safety precautions we’ll be implementing on our trips. Rest assured that you will stay locked into our lower price if you choose to reschedule your trip in the future.
• Keep your spot secured: Most of the volunteers whose trips were postponed due to COVID-19 have already rebooked. Therefore, we already have limited spaces available on our future trips and remaining spots will fill up quickly. By rebooking on a future trip as soon as possible, you can make sure to travel on your preferred dates to your preferred destination.
  • Travel credit cannot be refunded for cash value or combined with any other future discount. Travel Credit is applicable to travelers who’s trip was canceled by GIVE due to force majeure or unavoidable event, such as a pandemic or natural disaster.

  • Refunds will be issued at the end of the scheduled program term.

What are my next steps?

• To reschedule your trip and receive a lifetime travel credit, simply register for a new trip in your Volunteer Profile and email us to transfer your payment to your new trip dates.
• If have questions, please contact us via phone, email, or schedule a call here (in the questions section, write in “Trip Change Options”).
• All of your trip payments will automatically convert into a non-refundable lifetime travel credit worth the amount you have already paid towards your trip. Please note that any travel credits cannot be exchanged for cash value.
